Sheshan Swaminathan
Mr. Swaminathan’s experience includes business plan and liquidity forecast development and assessments, liquidity and treasury management, vendor and creditor negotiations, financial and operational due diligence, identification of profit/working capital enhancements, and restructuring/bankruptcy-related services. He has worked with clients in various industries, including technology, telecommunication, specialty chemicals, retail, automotive, and aerospace and defense.
Mr. Swaminathan’s notable engagements at A&M include advising several companies through formal in-court restructurings, including: Pine Gate Renewables, a solar power financing, construction, and production company; Enviva Biomass, a wood pellet manufacturing business; QualTek, a telecommunications construction company; and Dynata, a data analytics company.
Mr. Swaminathan also advised a privately held, $500 million specialty chemicals business on an out-of-court restructuring process. He led a bottom-up build of the business’s 13-week cash flow forecast and assisted the company in navigating several liquidity pinch points prior to a successful debt for equity swap and a change of control.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Swaminathan spent more than nine years in the Turnaround and Restructuring practice of a Big Four consulting firm. During his time there, he assisted several distressed businesses out of court with performance improvement and liquidity management while effectuating value-maximizing outcomes for various stakeholders.
Mr. Swaminathan earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. He has completed all three Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) exams and is an active member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors Association and the Turnaround Management Association.
