With more than 16 years of federal public sector consulting experience, Mr. Bechtold has supported high-profile programs aimed at addressing complex challenges and delivering measurable results. His work has included designing operational frameworks to improve service delivery, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency, and leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making. He has also led the development of performance dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights into organizational performance.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bechtold held leadership roles in which he delivered transformative results for federal agencies. He led future-state operating model efforts for administrative and procurement functions, resulting in improved workforce capabilities, streamlined processes, and enhanced policy guidance. Additionally, he led teams in creating automated analytics solutions to support data-driven decision-making.

Previously, Mr. Bechtold achieved significant cost savings for a federal agency, including $5 million in immediate savings and a projected $25 million in long-term cost avoidance through process optimization and acquisition standardization. He also led other engagement efforts to reduce inventories by 15% and identified over $100 million in cost savings through asset distribution assessments.

Mr. Bechtold earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University. He is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, a Project Management Professional, a Certified Government Financial Manager, and an Information Technology Infrastructure Library version 4 professional.
