Sarvagya Sharma is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Performance Improvement in Singapore. He has over 17 years of experience in consulting and operating roles, specializing in performance improvement and business turnarounds for private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, and corporations across 20+ countries.

Mr. Sharma specializes in large-scale transformation programs, focused on profitability improvement, supply chain and logistics optimization, and operational efficiency. He also brings extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement transformation programs, including direct material and indirect cost takeouts, through negotiations, zero-based design, and demand management levers. He has worked across a range of industries such as consumer goods, retail, industrial goods, renewables, aviation, energy, and natural resources.

Mr. Sharma led the turnaround of a lifestyle retailer owned by a private equity firm, driving a sustainable impact of approximately $25 million EBITDA and approximately $30 million in cash, making the business structurally profitable. Key initiatives included a store sales force redesign and incentive revamp, last-mile cost-under-recovery mitigation, warehouse and network redesign, product returns mitigation, credit terms enhancement, and inventory liquidation.

Mr. Sharma also led the operational performance turnaround of an airline maintenance, repair, and overhaul portfolio company owned by an Asian sovereign wealth fund, improving spare parts availability from approximately 80 to 96% for A/B spares and reducing deferred defects per aircraft from 23 to six. The initiatives included a spare parts planning reset, stock policy redesign and implementation, task and crew planning redesign, and organization restructuring.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sharma was a Senior Director at GEP and led its Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand transformation programs. He also served as Director of Indirect Procurement at Kellogg’s in its Asia, Middle East, and Africa practice (on secondment), driving its zero-based budgeting cost-improvement initiatives. He began his career at ITC Limited, India’s largest fast-moving consumer goods company, where he managed engineering operations at its largest tobacco manufacturing facility.

Mr. Sharma earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and a postgraduate degree in finance and marketing from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
