Salman Siddiqui

With in-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management and risk architecture, market risk, operational risk, risk governance, capital management, regulatory reporting, stress testing, ICAAP, ILAAP development and implementation, performance improvement initiatives and change management programs, Mr. Siddiqui has held senior management positions in financial institutions in the Middle East and Asia.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Siddiqui served as a Vice President, Head of Enterprise Risk Management with Bank AlJazira, one of the largest Sharia-compliant banks in Saudi Arabia. During his tenure, the bank saw a complete turnaround of the risk management function with successful implementation of Basel implementation, risk analytics, cost of funds and funds transfer pricing management, and Sukuk Issuance.
Previously, Mr. Siddiqui served as Head of Risk Analytics and Portfolio Management with AlRajhi Bank. He oversaw the successful development and implementation of all rating and risk assessment models and led the implementation of SAMA and Basel guidelines while ensuring that the bank’s ICAAP and other regulatory submissions remained at the highest standard. Earlier, Mr. Siddiqui worked for Samba Bank and Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) as Head of Operational Risk and Controls and Head of Credit Risk Controls, respectively.
Mr. Siddiqui earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (Pakistan). He is a Chartered Certified Accountant in the U.K. Mr. Siddiqui is a past secretary of SAMA Management Directors’ Committee, and a member of the SAMA and Banks’ technical committee on Open Banking, IFRS-9, Basel and SIMAH’s panel of industry experts for development of industry LGD and PD estimates.
