Rowan Mawa

Mr. Mawa’s primary area of concentration is healthcare, where he has operating experience through and out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With more than 18 years of experience across consulting, industry and law, Mr. Mawa has led industry and consultant teams that have delivered more than $1 billion in CFO-verified EBIT improvement. This value creation was mostly in the context of large-scale corporate transformations in healthcare, technology, telco and energy.
Mr. Mawa brings specific expertise in operating model redesign and structural cost reduction for large network-based businesses, having led 15 such programs across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. His other recent work has included the step-out growth strategy for an Australian power retailer, leading to the creation of an EV mobility new business; two post-merger integrations for a global IT services organization; and the zero-based organizational redesign of a building products conglomerate.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mawa spent nearly three years with Healius Limited, a listed pathology, radiology and clinical trials business in Australia, where he was Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer. During that time, he was responsible for portfolio strategy (one acquisition and two asset sales); delivered more than AU$100 million in EBIT improvement from 100+ initiatives and working with ~130 business owners; and defended a hostile takeover bid. Previously, he was with McKinsey & Company for nearly 10 years, including as a leader of the Service Operations practice in Asia.
Mr. Mawa earned bachelor’s degrees in arts and law from the University of Sydney.
