Roshni Nathu is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in New York. With more than 12 years of international transaction tax experience, she advises private equity and strategic clients on a wide range of U.S. tax matters arising in relation to cross-border transactions (including the application and operation of the US CFC and PFIC regimes, withholding taxes, treaty qualification and other repatriation considerations, USTOB and permanent establishment risks, inversions and other outbound transfer implications, and FIRPTA).  

Ms. Nathu’s primary areas of concentration are tax due diligence, tax structuring, cash tax modeling, transaction document review in connection with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, IPOs and restructurings and other tax planning, in both inbound and outbound contexts. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Nathu was a Director in the International Tax Services practice at PwC in New York. She advised on large cross-border deals from a U.S. international tax perspective, covering the transaction lifecycle from acquisition through to exit, primarily for private equity clients. Previously, she was with EY in New York, London, Auckland and Wellington. 

Ms. Nathu earned bachelor’s degrees in both law and accounting from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She is admitted to practice law in New Zealand and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Ms. Nathu is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New York.
