Piers Davison

Mr. Davison has extensive experience across the U.K. and Ireland, EMEA, the U.S., and Latin America, advising banks, insurers, asset/wealth managers, market infrastructure companies, fintech companies, specialty finance companies, and government institutions on a wide range of private and public market mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as well as equity and debt capital raisings, including initial public offerings (IPOs).
Mr. Davison’s notable assignments include the NatWest/Santander sell-down of their stake in Saudi British Bank (SABB), Aviva’s sale of a majority stake in Aviva Singapore, the Tesco Personal Finance mortgage portfolio sale, Bank Hapoalim’s spin-off of Isracard, the NEX Group’s sale to the CME Group, the IPO of AIB, the sell-down of Barclays’ stake in Barclays Africa Group Ltd, the IPO of Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank, ICAP’s sale of its voice broking business to Tullett Prebon, Banco Bradesco’s acquisition of HSBC Brazil, the IPO and subsequent sell-downs by Royal Bank of Scotland in Citizens Financial Group, the sale of Travelex to BRS Ventures, the IPO of TSB by Lloyds Banking Group, and sell-downs in Lloyds Banking Group and Royal Bank of Scotland, as well as serving as Privatization Strategy Advisor to UK Financial Investments.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Davison spent over six years at Citi, where he most recently served as the Co-Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) EMEA Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory. Previously, he spent almost 20 years at J.P. Morgan/J.P. Morgan Cazenove, where he held various roles, including Head of U.K. FIG Investment Banking and Head of Corporate Finance for EMEA FIG.
Mr. Davison earned a master’s degree in modern and medieval languages from Pembroke College, University of Cambridge.
