Paul Davies

Mr. Davies specialises in financial restructuring and is involved in all aspects of a deal from inception to implementation of the transaction, including short-term cash flow review and monitoring, independent business reviews, term sheet negotiation, documentation, deal structuring, financial covenants and KPI reporting post-transaction.
Mr. Davies focuses on large, complex transactions involving multiple stakeholder groups and multi-layered capital structures. He has worked across a range of jurisdictions and sectors, including retail, manufacturing, aviation, automotive oil and gas, power, media and advertising and real estate.
Recently, Mr. Davies’ notable assignments have included advising the lenders to a global helicopter leasing operator with debt in excess of $3 billion through the group’s financial restructuring and Chapter 11 process; advising the bondholders of a U.K. shopping centre group with debt of £300 million; and also the shareholder and board of a medical product distributor on the group’s restructuring and transformation plan.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Davies spent nine years in the Financial Restructuring Team at KPMG. Previously, he served with Ernst & Young’s Restructuring Team. He has also spent time on secondment in the work-out team of the Bank of Cyprus and at a major U.K. clearing bank.
Mr. Davies earned a bachelor’s degree in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Manchester. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
