Paul Becker
Mr. Becker is a financial leader who often assists clients with: interim controllership to stabilize accounting operations, improve close-to-report cycles, and ensure accurate financial reporting; buy-side and sell-side transaction services, including purchase accounting, financial carve-outs, diligence support, and GAAP-compliant financial statements; preparation of closing balance sheets and the related statements of cash, working capital, net debt, and transaction expenses to maximize purchase price value; restatements and remediation of internal control deficiencies; and redesign of end-to-end business processes to implement digital solutions that increase speed, control, and transparency.
Notable examples of Mr. Becker’s experience include serving as interim global controller for a $5 billion automotive parts debtor-in-possession, stabilizing the close process and enabling timely reporting during restructuring. Further, he led the financial carve-out of over 100 legal entities for a $6 billion healthcare services company, delivering standalone financials and ensuring transaction readiness. He also designed and implemented enhanced processes for the management company and general partner of a private equity sponsor with $65 billion in assets under management, improving visibility and governance across key cycles.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Becker was a member of KPMG’s national Audit and Deal Advisory practices.
Mr. Becker earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS).
