Oliver Wolff

As an advisor to top-level management, Mr. Wolff has collaborated extensively with clients across the banking sector, including major, foreign, state and private banks. He has also supported large corporations in the German insurance market.
Mr. Wolff advises clients on the legal and regulatory environment, concentrating on the risk functions, with a strong focus on regulatory, compliance, non-financial risk and environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. He is expert in the strategic evolution of a risk or compliance function and aids in transforming these functions and associated overarching matters such as governance or liability.
Mr. Wolff also handles cross-cutting, specialised aspects of the implementation or adaptation of these risk functions, including enquiries relating to compliance management systems and regulatory compliance functions. He has experience in core anti-financial crime matters, including anti-money laundering, financial sanctions and fraud prevention, as well as capital market compliance, sales compliance, and ESG-compliance. Mr. Wolff also works on non-financial risk, particularly reputational, behavioural and operational risk.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Wolff spent more than 12 years as a Partner with Big Four firms. He led the Deloitte Compliance & Technology Practice Group in Risk Advisory, managing around 120 professionals and building up the compliance service offerings in the financial services industry. Previously, Mr. Wolff spent seven years with KPMG.
Mr. Wolff earned bachelor’s degrees in business law and advanced management and a master's degree in business law (distinction).
