Mark Copeland

Mr. Copeland has worked across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, business services, software and technology, consumer, education, and private equity. He has extensive expertise in building client relationships and coordinating complex, large-cap private equity and Fortune 500 companies, including Thoma Bravo, Bank of America Corporation, Nucor Corporation, and Chiquita Brands International.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Copeland spent 27 years with EY in Greensboro, Atlanta, Charlotte, San Francisco, and Dallas, where he most recently served as the Managing Partner of the US-West Strategy and Transactions (SaT) practice, as well as the Global Coordinating Service Partner for Thoma Bravo, which is one of EY’s Global 360 clients. US-West SaT delivered annual revenues of $1.2 billion, with more than 2,500 professionals across EY-Parthenon, Transactions and Corporate Finance, and International Tax and Transaction Services. Before becoming the US-West SaT Managing Partner, Mr. Copeland served as the Managing Partner of EY’s Charlotte office.
Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for Accordion, a Charlesbank Capital Partners portfolio business. In this capacity, Mr. Copeland led the commercial engine empowering a global team of over 1,300 finance and technology professionals across 11 offices in the U.S., U.K., and India.
Mr. Copeland earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from East Carolina University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California, Texas, and North Carolina. Mr. Copeland currently serves on the Board of Trustees for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
