Marine Lacouture is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Paris. She has 10 years of experience in M&A operations in consulting and corporate environments. She specializes in transformation and value creation in complex separation and integration contexts for private equity-backed businesses and corporates.

Ms. Lacouture has worked with clients across sectors, including manufacturing, health, pharmaceuticals, retail and consumer leisure, business services, technology, media, and telecommunications, and transportation and logistics.

At A&M, Ms. Lacouture led the separation strategy study of a €4 billion global pharmaceuticals business, including the identification of value creation levers for optimization post-carve-out. She also led a carve-out assessment of a fund administrator. Prior to these engagements, she led the carve-out of Citeline (formerly Pharma Intelligence) from Informa (including the transition services agreement exit) and integration activities into Norstella, a market-leading pharmaceutical solutions provider. She also supported the carve-out of Fastmarkets from Delinian (formerly Euromoney), taking responsibility for sales and marketing, G&A carve-out considerations, and planning and optimization through synergy assessment and the value creation plan (from due diligence to public-to-private to closing).

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Lacouture served as Senior Advisor with Maersk, setting up the in-house M&A integration capabilities. She worked with Integration Leads and teams to support the integration of seven acquisitions (from target screening to business as usual). She also developed and implemented a repeatable M&A integration methodology (i.e., playbook and associated tools and templates).

Before Maersk, Ms. Lacouture spent more than six years in M&A operations advisory at PwC in London (Delivering Deal Value) and EY in Paris (Transaction Strategy & Execution, formerly Operational Transaction Services), focusing on M&A integration programs.

Ms. Lacouture earned a master’s degree in management and corporate finance from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a master’s degree in audit and consulting from ESCP Business School. She is fluent in English and French.
