Sac-Nicté Castilla
As part of the Global Trade practice in Mexico, Ms. Castilla Craviotto specializes in international trade and trade remedies. Her primary areas of practice include antidumping investigations, countervailing duty proceedings, dispute settlement, trade negotiations, and advisory on trade policy.
Ms. Castilla Craviotto has more than 20 years of experience advising companies and representing the Mexican government in international trade matters. She has served as a member of Mexico’s delegations in trade negotiations and dispute resolution, including North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Chapter 19 binational panels and proceedings before the World Trade Organization (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body. The Mexican government appointed her as a panelist under Chapter 10 of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. In 2020, Foro Jurídico recognized her as one of Mexico’s “Influential Women Lawyers.”
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Castilla Craviotto spent 10 years as Partner at García Seimandi y Asociados, S.C., a customs law boutique firm in Mexico City.
Ms. Castilla Craviotto earned an LLB from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has taught international law and foreign trade at UNAM, the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Universidad Panamericana, and the Mexico City Supreme Court of Justice. She has been an active member of the National Association of Business Lawyers (ANADE) since 2017, holding various positions within the national board and currently serving as Liaison to Business Organizations. She also participates in the Corporate Governance Commission, the legal subcommittee of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), and Coparmex’s National Commission for Regulatory Improvement.
Ms. Castilla Craviotto co-authored the ANADE Manual “Obligations and Practical Guidance for Companies” and has published with institutions including the WTO and the Trade and Investment Advocacy Fund (Taf2+).
