Marc Liebman is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring & Turnaround in Phoenix. He is the Co-Lead of the western region practice in North America and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Liebman has over 25 years of experience providing leadership to underperforming companies as a Financial Advisor and Corporate Officer. He specializes in executing turnaround programs, financial restructurings, and complex transactions.

Mr. Liebman has successfully led operational transformation projects for multinational public companies and reorganizations under Chapter 11 bankruptcy processes across many industries. He has served as a Corporate Officer, driving performance improvement and restructuring activities for clients including Rite Aid, the $20+ billion top-line retail pharmacy. Other notable clients include AMC Theatres, Conexant Semiconductor, Nellson Nutraceuticals, Maxeon Solar Technologies, STX Entertainment, TiVo, U-Haul, Washington Prime Group, Whiting Petroleum, and William Lyon Homes. His team’s contributions to client outcomes have been recognized by multiple industry associations.

Prior to his existing role, Mr. Liebman was a Founding Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Securities, where he executed balance sheet transactions. Before joining A&M, he was an Investment Banker with DLJ and Credit Suisse in Los Angeles, as well as a member of the Corporate Restructuring group at Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Liebman earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration (concentration in accounting) from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. He is a former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and passed the Certified Public Accountant exam.
