Liz Wayne is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Tampa. She specializes in manufacturing and operations performance improvement. Her primary areas of concentration are: process assessment and improvement; Lean Six Sigma; production scheduling and execution; and both automation and machine monitoring implementation.

With more than 10 years of industry and consulting experience, Ms. Wayne leads client and consulting teams through periods of upply chain transformation as both an advisor and an interim leader.

Ms. Wayne has served in a variety of industries, including medical devices, healthcare packaging, aviation, renewable energy, transportation, and commercial infrastructure. Her notable assignments include interim leadership for a global pharma packaging contract development and manufacturing organization, Head of Americas Footprint Expansion Project Management Office for a global data center infrastructure systems manufacturer, and Global Supply Chain Transformation Leader for a transportation technologies manufacturer.

Most recently, Ms. Wayne was responsible for a transformation program for a $200+ million manufacturing facility, improving revenue output by more than 80% over the course of the 18-month engagement. She led assessment of asset capacity utilization, identifying a ~$4 million margin opportunity to unlock capacity through suite-footprint optimization, automation opportunities, and changeover reduction. She also led and implemented $5 million in margin improvement opportunities to optimize staffing and capacity planning through a plant reorganization and union negotiation, resulting in the establishment of a scalable staffing model that can respond to seasonality and scale with capacity growth.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Wayne spent five years with General Electric, with roles in advanced manufacturing and shop operations. She supported the development and implementation of a wind turbine component manufacturer’s first automated moving assembly line; led the material replenishment and inventory controls, where her work resulted in the elimination of $3.4 million of inventory from assembly operations; and led digitization efforts in a gas turbine components cell.

Ms. Wayne earned a bachelor’s dual degree in engineering science (industrial engineering concentration) and business and management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
