Klaus Gerber is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s North America Commercial Restructuring practice in Atlanta.

He specializes in advising healthy and underperforming clients regarding cash flow forecasting and management process, working capital management and improvement, business plan development and implementation, assessing operational issues, creditor communication and management, etc.

Mr. Gerber 11+ years of financial advisory experience and has served clients across industries including construction, manufacturing, healthcare, commodity chemicals, integrated telecommunication, investment banking and brokerage.

Currently, Mr. Gerber is running the process to wind down the largest chemical company in the State of GA (Fibrant LLC), with responsibilities including day-to-day onsite project leadership, board communication, stakeholder and liquidity management, asset sale process, development and implementation of retention/incentive programs, etc.

Mr. Gerber also worked on the wind down of a $900 million balance sheet along with the dissolution of any corporate functions that survived a complex mergers and acquisitions transaction. The process includes management of 55 independent contractors and the A&M team effectuating the wind-down.

Among other projects, Mr. Gerber assisted in creating a formalized projection and budgeting process for Georgia Gulf and assisted with developing the financial plan and establishing a financial planning and analysis department. He worked on the wind down of S&K Famous Brands, advised the unsecured creditor committee of Capmark Financial Group through a Chapter 11 filing and advised Arcapita Bank in Chapter 11 proceedings.

Before joining A&M, he was a Senior Associate with KPMG in the transaction services practice, providing financial and business due diligence assistance for clients. He also provided sell-side and buy-side assistance for clients such as AOL, Verizon, Bayer, MasTec, Graphic Packaging and Nordic Capital.

Mr. Gerber earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Nuremberg, Germany and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
