Kevin Cassidy
Mr. Cassidy's most recent engagement was serving as the interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a value-based care provider group based in the DMV with multiple specialties across both physical points of care and virtual appointment offerings. He had responsibility for the accounting, FP&A, and revenue cycle functions.
Notably, Mr. Cassidy previously served as the CFO of an academic health system in the Philadelphia market. The engagement focused on performance improvement, cash and vendor management, outsourcing of revenue cycle operations, accounting and back-office processes and procedure enhancements, and supported several transaction processes.
Before this engagement, Mr. Cassidy worked on a performance improvement project for a 700-bed nonprofit teaching health system in Brooklyn, New York. The engagement later shifted to include liquidity management, transformation plan development on behalf of a syndicate of lenders, audit assistance, debt covenant compliance, and forecasting for the New York Department of Health.
Some of Mr. Cassidy’s other notable engagements at A&M include: performing due diligence work on behalf of hedge fund sponsors evaluating target companies, creating a five-year projection model for a health system in the Midwest, assisting the Treasury department of a physician network in Texas, advising a specialty pharmaceutical company through its Chapter 11 restructuring process, and stabilizing the operations of a medical group.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Cassidy spent four years with the hedge fund Perry Capital in New York. He previously worked in the PwC Investment Management practice in New York and Merrill Lynch in Providence, Rhode Island.
Mr. Cassidy earned a bachelor’s degree in management (minor in finance) and an MBA (concentrations in finance and accounting) from Providence College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the New York State Board for Public Accountancy and a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
