Kara Suthard

Ms. Suthard partners closely with the Public Sector Services leadership team and A&M’s Chief Financial Officer to develop and execute the company’s financial strategies. Her responsibilities include monitoring working capital, backlog, and pipeline; developing financial models; and ensuring compliance with government contracting regulations. Ms. Suthard also collaborates with A&M’s Chief People Officer and Chief Operating Officer to align financial planning with talent strategy and operational effectiveness.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Suthard was Director of FP&A at Capgemini, where she successfully rebuilt the FP&A function and managed a $100 million portfolio of government projects. Her role involved consolidating complex data sources during month-end close, leading the annual planning process, and preparing quarterly board materials. Ms. Suthard’s strategic insights and ability to drive financial transformation were key to her success. Previously, Ms. Suthard held roles at Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Gannett Co. Inc.
Ms. Suthard’s notable assignments include Deloitte’s SWIFT project, where she led during the reimagining and modernization of the entire financial back-office infrastructure. At the time, this was the world’s largest Global SAP implementation ever attempted. While at Booz Allen Hamilton, she drove the financial business case to open a new office location near Defense Health Agency in Falls Church, Virginia, and was part of the leadership team that launched the company’s Military Health business. She piloted the test case and introduced Tableau to Booz Allen Hamilton’s FP&A team, overcoming internal resistance to change and achieving full adoption.
Ms. Suthard earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is a certified Project Management Professional and earned a data science credential from MIT Professional Education.
