Justin Sim

He brings more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and M&A. He specializes in advising entrepreneurs and privately held corporations as well as management and boards of publicly traded companies on matters including divestitures, acquisitions, M&A strategy, capital raising, take private transactions, recapitalizations and strategic options. Mr. Sim has worked with clients across a range of industries including technology, healthcare, industrials, consumer and business services.
Mr. Sim’s recent experience has included acting as Financial Advisor to: Panasonic Canada in connection to its strategic acquisition of Quick Service Technologies, a leading provider of POS technologies to the QSR industry; Concepts in Data (dba Instanet Solutions) in connection with its sale to Lone Wolf Technologies, a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners; ERMS in connection with its sale to Rave Mobile Safety, a portfolio company of K1 Investments; Cedar Infrastructure in connection with its sale to Mosaic Capital; a leading Canadian EPC provider on its strategic options in connection with a balance sheet recapitalization; MAX Mutual Insurance in connection with its sale to Chelsea Avondale; a multinational electronics corporation on its acquisition of an energy storage solutions provider; and Bird Construction in connection with its initial public offering.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sim was an Executive Director with Deloitte Corporate Finance, where he was a leader in M&A advisory for the technology, media and telecom sector. Previously, Mr. Sim was a co-founder and Associate Director at Ascendant Securities Inc. where he provided investment banking services to technology, healthcare and resource services companies.
Mr. Sim earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
