Jonny Lane
Mr. Lane specializes in advising limited partners (LPs) and general partners (GPs) experiencing challenges, a level of distress, or situations where their funds are coming to the end of their life. His services include general LP and GP advisory roles through the winding-up of challenged or tail-end funds.
With more than 14 years’ experience in corporate advisory, complex cross-border restructuring, and special situations advisory assignments, Mr. Lane has broad experience across the restructuring advisory sector both domestically and internationally, including mining and financial services.
Mr. Lane’s notable assignments include restructuring advisory and litigation projects in Eastern Europe and Africa, conducting forensic investigations, and realizing significant assets in excess of $800 million in a Dubai/Cayman Islands-based private equity fund.
Mr. Lane’s experience across the funds advisory landscape includes the management and wind-up of private equity funds across various jurisdictions, overseeing multijurisdictional legal claims, contingency planning for GPs and LPs, and working on a structured GP and LP stake sale process with numerous stakeholders.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lane spent four years with Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in its cross-border advisory and insolvency team in London, with a focus on complex assignments, many of which involved engagement with stakeholder groups across a number of different countries and waterfall classes.
Mr. Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business finance, and management from the University of York. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA).
