Jonathan Hickman

With more than 25 years of management and corporate restructuring experience, Mr. Hickman has advised numerous clients in both financial advisory and interim management roles, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), and Chief Operating Officer. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including hospitality, construction, manufacturing, mining, exploration and production, oilfield services, distribution, automotive, retail, and financial services.
Mr. Hickman’s notable assignments include: serving as CRO of Hornblower, a global leader in travel experiences and maritime transportation, during the company’s successful Chapter 11 process; serving as Financial Advisor to West Marine during an out-of-court restructuring; and serving as CRO of GT Real Estate Holdings during the company’s Chapter 11 process associated with the construction of the Carolina Panthers’ new headquarters and practice facility.
Further, Mr. Hickman served as CEO of Piney Woods Resources, a producer of metallurgical and thermal coal in Alabama; CRO of GST AutoLeather during a successful Chapter 11 sale process; financial advisor to Sidewinder Drilling during an out-of-court restructuring; and CRO of Allens, Inc., a food manufacturer facing a Chapter 11 process.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hickman worked in the petroleum services industry, where he was involved in the construction and maintenance of gas stations and terminals.
Mr. Hickman earned a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and Turnaround Management Association (TMA). In addition, he has served on the board of the Carolinas Chapter of the TMA and the board of directors of the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.
