Mr. Blanco Diez specializes in scaling cross-functional delivery platforms, expanding sector coverage, and driving portfolio-level value creation across energy assets. His areas of concentration include asset performance improvement, capital expenditure (CapEx) effectiveness, major capital program risk management, operational excellence, and full life-cycle asset optimization. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Blanco Diez was a Partner and EMEA Head of Private Equity at dss+ (formerly DuPont Sustainable Solutions), where he led large-scale operational risk and performance improvement programs for portfolio companies in construction, energy transmission, and waste management. In this role, he supported multiyear value creation plans for both sponsors and management teams, helping improve operational resilience, reduce risk exposure, and enhance asset performance. 

Before dss+, Mr. Blanco Diez worked at PwC in Transaction Services and Supply Chain and Operations, advising investors and corporate clients on complex operational due diligences, carve-outs, and cost and efficiency programs for industrial and heavy-industry clients. Earlier in his career, he held corporate roles at AXA (Madrid and Paris) and Siemens Gamesa, where he worked on global cost reduction initiatives, operational improvement programs, and supplier qualification and engineering processes. This gave him a pragmatic understanding of how capital programs, engineering constraints, and operational realities intersect with financial performance. 

Mr. Blanco Diez earned an executive MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, as well as master's degrees in materials engineering from the Technical University of Madrid and in physics from Valladolid University. He is a certified post-merger integration specialist (Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances) and has worked for more than seven years as Associate Professor for international students at the University of Navarra. Mr. Blanco Diez speaks Spanish and English, with basic proficiency in French.
