Jim Meehan
With a background in the military and a successful career in the financial services industry, Mr. Meehan is passionate about the value of teamwork to achieve common goals through building strong relationships. Mr. Meehan’s consulting firm, Annapolis 86 LLC, specializes in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Meehan served as Managing Partner at 1847Financial, following on from 22 successful years with Creative Financial Group. Under Mr. Meehan’s leadership, 1847Financial was recognized as one of the best places to work in Philadelphia for seven consecutive years.
Mr. Meehan earned a bachelor’s degree from the US Naval Academy (USNA) and a master’s degree from The American College of Financial Services. He previously served as chairman of the College’s board and received its most prestigious annual award, the Huebner Gold Medal. He also chaired the College’s Penn Mutual Center for Military and Veterans Affairs, which awards scholarships to military veterans and their spouses interested in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry. He continues to be an advocate of the College and their efforts to partner with veterans.
Mr. Meehan is a member of the USNA Alumni Association and Foundation and The Union League of Philadelphia. He is a founding member of Finseca, formally known as the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), and the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA). In his illustrious career, Mr. Meehan has received recognition for several outstanding achievements, including GAMA’s International Management Award and the prestigious Penn Mutual Chairman’s Award. He has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, ThinkAdvisor, Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg, and the Real Investment Advice Central Advisor Newsletter.
