Over the last decade, Mr. Stegenga has worked almost exclusively on large, complex company-side engagements in a wide variety of industries. His notable client assignments include Energy Future Holdings, Hawker Beechcraft, Blockbuster, Visteon, Lear Automotive, Masonite, SIRVA, Vertis Communications, Dow Corning, Harnischfeger Industries, Federal-Mogul, Fleming Foods, McDermott International / Babcock & Wilcox, Tower Automotive and Meridian Automotive.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Stegenga served as a Senior Managing Director with the Corporate Finance and Restructuring practice of FTI Consulting. He was also a Partner with the U.S. division of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Business Recovery Services practice in both Denver and Dallas, focusing on the restructuring of various companies within the manufacturing, retail and energy sectors.
Mr. Stegenga earned a bachelor's degree in accountancy from Arizona State University. He passed the Certified Public Accountant examination and is currently a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor (CIRA). Mr. Stegenga is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). He recently contributed to the editing process of certain chapters of a widely-used restructuring industry textbook. Mr. Stegenga also participated on a committee that proposed changes to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) regarding accounting guidelines for companies operating under Chapter 11 protection.
