Guilherme Gattaz is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Infrastructure & Capital Projects in São Paulo. 

Mr. Gattaz brings more than 18 years of experience in transportation infrastructure and logistics, specializing in complex projects that require skills in strategy, market, finance, operations, and regulation. His primary areas of concentration include strategic planning, M&A and auction advisory, market studies, due diligences, feasibility studies, financial modeling, and support in regulatory discussions. He has worked with clients across the port, airport, toll road, and railway industries, covering all cargo types.

Notably at A&M, Mr. Gattaz has been deeply involved in investment decisions in transportation infrastructure, assisting world-class players in evaluating investments projects, public tenders, and M&A opportunities. He has participated in over 100 infrastructure projects in the past three years, with his responsibilities including strategic planning, business plan development, market studies, valuations, and technical support for negotiations for all cargo types as well as for third-party operators and vertically integrated players (container shipping, oil and gas, mining, agricultural, pulp and paper, heavy industry).

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gattaz co-founded Terrafirma, a boutique consulting firm focused on transportation and logistics infrastructure in Brazil. As a Managing Partner, he led complex advisory engagements in this sector, including financial modeling for the concession of 50+ airports in Brazil across multiple rounds of the federal concessions program, as well as engagements that evaluated 50+ port terminal leases, two railway concessions, and 15 toll road concessions. Terrafirma was then acquired by A&M, reinforcing A&M’s infrastructure advisory capabilities in the region.

Mr. Gattaz earned a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and ocean engineering from the University of São Paulo and a master’s degree (Laurea Specialistica) in management engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. A Brazilian national, he is fluent in Portuguese and English.
