Gaurav Malhotra

With 25 years of experience in leading financial and operational restructuring assignments, Mr. Malhotra has worked across a variety of sectors, including automotive, airlines, agriculture, construction and engineering, education, energy, government, healthcare, industrials, pharmaceuticals and transportation.
Mr. Malhotra has worked with Fortune 100 and middle market clients in court and outside of bankruptcy, and has significant experience in the execution of complex restructuring assignments and leading multi-party negotiations. His experience includes executing rapid performance improvement plans, liquidity enhancement, cost reduction, commercial pricing negotiations, strategic transformations and expert testimony.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Malhotra was a partner with Ernst & Young and the leader of EY’s US Restructuring Practice.
Most recently, Mr. Malhotra was the financial advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico (majority members appointed by the U.S. President) and assisted in the restructuring of Puerto Rico’s $70 billion in debt and $55 billion in pension obligations.
Mr. Malhotra earned an MBA in finance and business policy from Case Western Reserve University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
