Fernando Szterling

Mr. Szterling provides advisory services to sellers seeking investors for local and international assets, represents buyers in acquisition processes, and prepares companies for public listings and secondary equity offerings in Brazilian and international exchanges.
Mr. Szterling has advised companies across a wide range of industries, including consumer and retail, technology, automotive, financial services, mining, and energy. His track record includes both domestic and cross-border transactions, involving strategic groups and investors from the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Szterling studied and worked in the US for 22 years. He held leadership roles with the investment banking teams of J.P. Morgan, Santander, and Deloitte, with a strong focus on cross-border transactions.
Mr. Szterling earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He also earned an LLM from Harvard University and a JD with honors (as a Stone Scholar and a Kent Scholar) from Columbia University. A native Brazilian, he is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
