Eric Leung
With over 20 years in professional services and Big Four firms, Mr. Leung supports HR and compensation and benefits (C&B) teams across the Asia--Pacific region on assignment programs, including expatriate (expat), local-to-local (L2L), short-term assignment (STA) and related individual tax matters. His work spans package calculations, tax equalization, treaty relief, audits/enquiries, social security and retirement considerations, and benefits-in-kind (BIK) administration.
In regulated environments, Mr. Leung has led compensation reviews and policy design aligned to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) CG-5, with clear controls and audit-ready documentation for sensitive pay decisions. He also advises on retention awards (including equity and share-based compensation) and CRS (individuals) readiness for high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Leung spent more than 10 years with Vialto Partners (formerly PwC Global Mobility Services) in Hong Kong SAR, China, managing high volumes of mobility cases for banking, insurance, and multinational clients. He previously held roles at EY and KPMG. Mr. Leung has also been on assignment in New York, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur.
Mr. Leung holds a bachelor’s degree in economics (minor in communications) from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA Australia), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enrolled Agent (EA). He speaks Cantonese (native), English (fluent), and Mandarin (moderate).
