Eric Johnson is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in New York. He specializes in delivering high-impact buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services for private equity firms and strategic acquirers across fintech, software, and technology-enabled services sectors.

Mr. Johnson brings deep expertise in buy-side diligence, including annual recurring revenue and customer analytics, quality of earnings, working capital analysis and negotiation, and operational assessments. On the sell-side, he partners with founders and chief financial officers to position their companies for successful exits, maximizing value creation and preparing diligence materials that resonate with investors at every stage of the transaction life cycle.

Mr. Johnson specializes in all sectors of fintech including payments, banking technology, cryptocurrency, wealth/capital markets technology, financial management solutions, and alternative lending.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Johnson spent seven years in investment banking at Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) and led the Special Executions Group. The team focused on financial diligence preparation, forecast validation, strategic finance, and data analytics. He has advised founders and investors on 100+ transactions and led complex deal workstreams involving financial modeling, customer and transaction analytics, unit economics, and revenue quality assessments.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson spent four years at Deloitte, supporting major clients such as Blackstone and TA Associates.

Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from James Madison University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
