Eren Güra

With more than 30 years of finance experience, Mr. Güra has built a strong finance background in executive finance roles covering various sectors as banking, telecoms, contracting in infrastructure construction, energy, and agribusiness.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Güra spent 10 years as a Financial Consultant working with corporates, commercial banks, and international financial institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). During this time, he also worked for an organo-mineral fertilizer manufacturing company to restructure IFC-led consortium debt, while serving as the Interim CEO and as a Board Member. Mr. Güra was the independent Board Director at Türkiye Finans Participation Bank, the Turkish subsidiary of Saudi National Bank, for six years, where he also served as the Chairman/a Member of the bank’s audit committee.
Previously, Mr. Güra served as CFO of STFA Group for four years, where he steered various projects with private equities as well as the refinancing of its energy subsidiary. Prior to that, Mr. Güra spent nine years at Avea (Turkey’s third-largest mobile telecom operator) as Finance Director and CFO, leading a multi-tranche $1.6 billion project finance and an EBITDA turnaround thanks to operational performance measurement and improvements. Prior to joining Avea, Mr. Güra worked for Citibank, NA in the Project Finance department, for six years. He started his career in Procter & Gamble’s European headquarters in Brussels.
Mr. Güra earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul and an MBA degree from KU Leuven, Belgium. Mr. Güra holds the Qualified Risk Director designation awarded by the DCRO Institute. A Turkish national, he is fluent in Turkish, English, and French.
