Donald Featherstone

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Featherstone has led restructuring engagements in the U.K., the European Union, Latin America, the U.S., the Middle East, and Africa as both an interim executive and lead restructuring advisor. He is a regular speaker at the London Business School on turnaround and restructuring topics, and several of his cases have been developed as a part of the MBA curriculum. He was included in Private Equity News’ 2010 list of top restructuring advisors in Europe and was recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a leading European restructuring professional in 2023.
Some of Mr. Featherstone’s notable assignments include serving as: Chief Restructuring Officer of the Port of Wilmington, Delaware; Chief Restructuring Officer of Fitness First, the world’s largest health and fitness club operator; Executive Chairman of Viking Moorings, a U.K./Norway-based offshore service firm; Chief Restructuring Officer and statutory board member of the Sea Trucks Group, an international offshore services company based in Nigeria; Chief Restructuring Officer of SevanMarine, a Norwegian listed operator of floating production vessels; and lead restructuring advisor to Constellation Oil and Gas, a Brazilian offshore drilling company.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Featherstone held senior positions at AlixPartners, EY, and the Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. Featherstone earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics (Phi Beta Kappa) from DePauw University, and an MBA (concentration in analytic finance) from the University of Chicago. He is a Fellow of the Institute for Turnaround, a member of the Royal Institute of Foreign Affairs, and a Freeman of the City of London. He has published several works on turnaround and restructuring topics, including contributing to The Stress Test Every Business Needs: A Capital Agenda for Confidently Facing Digital Disruption, Difficult Investors, Recessions and Geopolitical Threats (October 2018). He is a dual U.S./U.K. citizen.
