Dmitry Peshnev-Podolskiy is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal and Co-Head of A&M's Central Eurasia division, responsible for developing the firm’s business across the region and delivering lasting value to clients. He advises financial institutions, corporates, development institutions, and policymakers.

With more than 25 years of leadership in international banking and strategic advisory, Mr. Peshnev-Podolskiy has led financial institutions and transformation programs across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. He works with banks, financial institutions, corporations, and governments across Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan, helping them enhance efficiency, strengthen governance, attract international capital, and integrate into global markets. His notable engagements include advising systemic banks on international funding strategies, building new financial institutions, and designing regulatory frameworks to support capital markets development and cross-border payments.

Under Mr. Peshnev-Podolskiy’s leadership, projects have focused on institutional reform, innovation, and market modernization, bridging the gap between regional priorities and global best practice. His work consistently emphasizes building sustainable ecosystems, enabling long-term competitiveness, and aligning private sector growth with public policy objectives.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Peshnev-Podolskiy served as CEO of multiple banking institutions, from an emerging digital bank to a leading international consumer franchise. As Group Head of Private Banking at a top-three Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) bank, he led the launch of a private banking business in the EU. Earlier in his career, Mr. Peshnev-Podolskiy was Chief Operating Officer at the largest securities broker in the CIS. Known for driving successful turnarounds, he has also supported shareholders in strengthening corporate governance, serving repeatedly as a board member and chairman across several financial institutions.

Mr. Peshnev-Podolskiy is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, NYU Stern School of Business, HEC Paris, and Stanford Graduate School of Business, combining a global academic foundation with a deep understanding of market realities.
