Ms. McHale’s primary areas of concentration are expert witness advice across litigation and arbitration cases (including business valuation, breach of contract, post-transaction claims, and matters relating to the interpretation and application of accounting standards) as well as investigations (including fraudulent reporting, asset tracing, suspected asset dissipation, and compliance reviews).

With over ten years of experience, Ms. McHale has worked on various probate, trust, and matrimonial cases across a wide range of industries, most notably advisory/consulting services, automotive, aviation, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, oil and gas, and transportation.

Ms. McHale’s notable dispute experience includes UK Family Court cases concerning the valuation of (i) a business in the oil and gas industry and (ii) a diversified portfolio of companies located in a politically unstable jurisdiction; a UK High Court case relating to the valuation of an insolvent company in the aviation sector following alleged misrepresentations; and an International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) arbitration relating to alleged breach of contract in the European telecommunications sector. She has also undertaken investigative engagements including the assessment of the source of wealth and funds of a high net worth individual, and an investigation into material misstatements in a global payroll provider.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. McHale assisted in the implementation of a European Banking Authority (EBA) regulation at Barclays Bank and spent four years with EY in its Financial Services Asset Management Audit practice in London.

Ms. McHale earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Bath. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the Female Fraud Forum, and Resolution. Ms. McHale has spoken at conferences on private clients and matrimonial matters and has had articles published and quotes featured in numerous journals and newspapers, including the Financial Times.
