Christopher Disa

Notably, Mr. Disa developed and implemented a turnaround plan for Francesca’s. He served as the interim Senior Vice President/General Merchandise Manager for 15 months and delivered the first quarter of comp and profit improvement in over three years. In addition, Mr. Disa supported the restructuring of a $2 billion wholesale and retail organization through COVID-19. He also led the stand-up of a new inventory management function and open-to-buy process that helped the organization emerge from bankruptcy in a timely fashion. He supported contract renewals with sourcing agents and developed an activity-based cost structure for sourcing.
Mr. Disa conducted growth and cost improvement assessment for a multi-category retailer, causing a revenue and margin increase of over 15%. He served as the organization’s interim General Merchandise Manager and led a new buying/inventory management process design and implementation. He also served on the due diligence team for a private equity acquisition of a U.S.-based $1 billion retailer. He identified merchandising, development, and inventory strategies resulting in multimillion-dollar EBITA savings opportunities.
Mr. Disa has worked on transformations for multiple clients and led initiatives across store labor efficiency, COGS optimization, and inventory management and merchandising improvements.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Disa was Global Director of Merchandising at Gap Inc. He oversaw multiple categories in the Women’s division and was responsible for all global markets across full price stores, e-commerce, and outlets. He turned around the women’s denim business, doubled the market share in the outerwear category, and moved the Maternity division to a digital-only platform. Previously, he held various leadership roles at PUMA AG across wholesale, retail, and off-price, and was credited with leveraging the supply chain to improve profitability. He began his career at Talbots, in roles across merchandising, catalog/digital, and planning and allocation.
Mr. Disa earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Syracuse University and an MBA from Babson College in the U.S.
