Christian Pascal Meiske is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Financial Services Industry in Hamburg. 

Mr. Meiske is a seasoned strategy consultant and former banking executive with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He primarily focuses on payments, retail banking, and adjacent software and technology plays. Mr. Meiske advises leading players in the European payments and banking industry, including international banks, neobanks, card issuers, card schemes, acquirers, alternative payment providers, payment processors, infrastructure providers, and private equity investors.

Mr. Meiske has led buy-side and sell-side commercial due diligence on financial services and adjacent assets for strategic and financial investors. In addition, he has broad project experience developing a variety of strategies, including corporate, business line, growth, market entry, go-to-market, and product. He also has experience driving strategic cost reviews and organizational transformation programs.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Meiske was part of the leadership team of EY-Parthenon Financial Services and was EY Payments Issuing Leader across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Previously, Mr. Meiske was Head of Strategy & Business Development at Barclays, where he was responsible for all strategy and corporate development activities for Barclays’ consumer bank in Europe.

Mr. Meiske earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. He is fluent in English and German, and he is a certified banker. As a member of the European banking and fintech community, he is regularly a keynote speaker at industry conferences, author of thought leadership papers, and contributor quoted in leading business magazines.
