Chad Ellison

Mr. Ellison has been involved in a variety of mandates advising management teams, corporate boards, private equity groups and lenders on capital raises, refinancing, recapitalizations and mergers and acquisitions. He has worked with clients in various industries, including oil and gas exploration and processing (E&P), oil field services, infrastructure, power, aviation, transportation, financial services, manufacturing and construction.
Mr. Ellison’s notable recent mandates include acting as the financial advisor to an E&P company in raising debt capital to refinance and lower its cost of capital, an E&P company to access greater leverage to fund a transformative acquisition, a private equity sponsor in accessing project finance capital, a syndicate of lenders with respect to an oil and gas portfolio company; advising the board of a private oil and gas company on strategic alternatives; and assisting a provider of environmental and industrial services to the oil and gas sector with its refinancing.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ellison spent five years in equity research, most recently as a Director of Oil & Gas Research at a boutique Canadian investment bank. He handled production and cash flow forecasting, well economics and analysis, type curve modelling and valuation and wrote investment recommendation reports for the junior/intermediate oil and gas sector. Mr. Ellison was part of a team that helped raise over $5 billion in equity and debt for and private corporate issuers.
Previously, Mr. Ellison was a Senior Account Manager at GE Capital’s Corporate Finance group, where he was responsible for lending to mid-market oil field services, manufacturing, construction and transportation sectors.
Mr. Ellison earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (finance concentration) from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
