Cary Daniel

Mr. Daniel specializes in distribution network optimization, transportation sourcing and cost reduction, working capital reduction and lean implementation initiatives.
Before A&M, Mr. Daniel served as the Director of Logistics for a privately owned, high growth $1.2 billion distributor of automotive aftermarket products, where he oversaw 30 warehouses throughout North America. Challenged to turnaround an underperforming distribution network, he led Lean Six Sigma initiatives that resulted in improved systems, processes and warehouse designs that delivered millions in cost savings and increased revenues.
Previously, Mr. Daniel served as the Director of Logistics and materials at Benteler Automotive North America, a $1.8 billion division of a global Tier 1 auto maker. Overseeing 14 manufacturing sites and +2,000 personnel, he saved more than $3 million in ocean freight spend, reduced working capital by $14 million and saved the division an additional $6 million by instituting lean and quality management initiatives.
Earlier, he was the Director of Logistics at E-Z-GO Textron, where he drove a $6 million turnaround in freight losses, facilitated $2 million in annual savings and dramatically improved on-time delivery and customer satisfaction rates. Due to these efforts, the division was recognized and awarded for best supply chain improvements.
Mr. Daniel also served as North American logistics and warehousing manager for TRW Automotive Engine Components, where he implemented new logistics strategies. He led a large-scale relocation program including a factory move from Pennsylvania to Japan and instituted initiatives that delivered millions in annual savings.
He has also held leadership roles in operations in the trucking, food service, plastics and electrical components industries.
Mr. Daniel earned an MBA in supply chain from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's degree in marketing from East Tennessee State University. He also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
