Carmine Izzi

With more than 25 years of international management consulting experience, Mr. Izzi has led many high-impact teams to drive aggressive top- and bottom-line growth; set strategic visions; implement complex solutions; and achieve business value in highly competitive industries, including automotive, retail, consumer products/electronics, telecommunications and aerospace and defense.
Mr. Izzi’s select engagements include an enterprise-wide corporate transformation for a leading consumer packaged goods company that included right-sizing the client’s product portfolio to include SKU rationalization, ultimately achieving $30+ million in combined COGS and SG&A reduction; a strategy to implement a design and product development functional capability within a large automotive company located in Kuala Lumpur, where engagement output formed the blueprint for the acquisition of a company with a world-class automotive design capability; and a digital roadmap and implementation for a large Department of Defense shipbuilder, leading to 25% improvement in engineering and product development efficiency and a 35% reduction in post release engineering changes.
Recently, Mr. Izzi was a Partner at Deloitte Consulting and led the firm’s Product Development practice for the consumer package goods industry. He developed multiple organizational capabilities, such as Deloitte’s Digital Product Development offering; its Design for Value offering and teardown facility; and a cross-supply chain offering that analyzed both product development and procurement data to develop direct material cost reduction insights and savings.
Additionally, Mr. Izzi was involved with a team to empower under-represented students of today to become the diverse STEM innovators of tomorrow. He teamed with the National Math & Science Initiative, The Balmer foundation and other partners to secure $30+ million in funding and the delivery of 25,000+ Smart Rover Kits for the purposes of learning to Title 1 schools across the country. He also oversaw the development of a curriculum to both empower teachers and excite students in STEM. Mr. Izzi began his career in the aerospace and defense industry as a structural engineer.
Mr. Izzi earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Mexico.
