Carl Shreyes Chakravarthy

Mr. Chakravarthy specializes in procurement and cost optimization, project management office design, establishment and deployment, schedule optimization, and risk management for mega- and giga-projects. His engagements have covered multiple asset-heavy industries, including engineering and construction, steel, renewable energy, real estate, heavy equipment, oil and gas, and chemicals and petrochemicals. Mr. Chakravarthy has led and delivered projects across multiple geographies, including India, the Middle East, the U.S., Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Chakravarthy served as a Senior Project Controls Engineer at Punj Lloyd Limited for the Middle East, Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States region, managing a total portfolio of approximately $1 billion. He was responsible for the execution of all process plants in the region, including a polysilicon plant in Qatar, a liquefied natural gas plant in Yemen, and a sulfuric acid plant in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Chakravarthy also worked with Enercon India and Hoku Materials in their technical functions. He published a conference paper titled “Alternative Power for Industrial Operations – A Feasibility of Wind Powering Hydrogen” with the Decision Sciences Institute in 2007.
Mr. Chakravarthy earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Madras, India, a master’s degree in measurement and controls engineering, and an MBA from Idaho State University, U.S.
