Caio Marcilio
Mr. Marcílio has worked across several segments including financial institutions, food industries, diagnostic medicine, telecommunications, and education, focusing primarily on zero-based budgeting, post-merger integration, and industrial efficiency among other business methodologies, with emphasis on productivity enhancement.
Mr. Marcílio currently leads large integration and optimization projects for private equity portfolio companies and major corporate players, having supported and/or designed more than 20 investment theses over the past few years. He has worked with more than 10 different private equity funds.
Mr. Marcílio has performed notable performance improvement projects including revising the logistics network in Brazil, Peru, and Colombia for a leading global company in the processing and refining industry. He integrated the specialized areas of a national laboratory of a diagnostic medicine provider that was acquired by a global leader. He also restructured industrial maintenance planning for a leading company in the pulp and paper market and a leading distributor in the Brazilian beverage market. Mr. Marcílio worked to increase profitability in one of the largest Brazilian banks, with a focus on expenses in the legal area and productivity improvement in credit recovery. He also redefined the trade marketing strategy for a leader in the national K–12 education segment.
Mr. Marcílio earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of São Paulo. He speaks fluent Portuguese and English and has advanced proficiency in Spanish.
