Bruna Melo
Ms. Melo brings more than 15 years of experience acting in Brazil, Latin America, and the US. She has worked on transactions ranging from $20 million to $9 billion to unlock value by optimizing business performance through effective integration transactions and performance improvement transformation. She has expertise in leading finance and accounting (F&A) offices, Day 1 readiness, target operating models, synergy planning and execution, cash flow management, and financial modeling.
Ms. Melo’s notable engagements include leading the buy-side F&A workstream for the operational carve-out of a prominent global publicly traded payroll processor and technology implementation provider. This effort established a standalone business at transaction close, which involved support for negotiating the transaction services agreement. Additionally, she assisted the Separation Management Office in managing the process from signing to closing and provided support for the Day 1, Day 100, and standalone budget implementation.
Ms. Melo has performed over 25 cross-industry due diligence engagements. She has advised on identifying synergies and performance improvement opportunities, standalone cost modeling, and one-time cost implications on a variety of acquisition transactions that required a rapid diagnostic of the current state, after which she recommended improvement opportunities.
Ms. Melo earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of Campinas, (UNICAMP) Brazil, and a master’s degree in business and entrepreneurship from Link School of Business, Brazil. She is a certified Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) and a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner.
