Brian Nichols

With more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience, Mr. Nichols has an extensive track record in leading projects focused on operational efficiencies and managing day-to-day operations in the logistics and supply chain sectors. He has developed distribution solutions, optimized networks, and overseen global logistics operations, while spearheading cost-saving initiatives to drive impactful, sustainable results.
Mr. Nichols’ notable assignments at A&M include a role as interim VP of Operations for a leading national distributor of health and beauty care, general merchandise, and cosmetics products. In this role, he had oversight of all distribution locations while standardizing procedures and system enhancements that supported $4.5 million in EBITDA improvement. He developed a solution for a leading global apparel and accessories company to centralize a significant portion of its distribution network, resulting in $4.3 million in EBITDA improvement. He led and implemented a warehouse performance improvement stock-keeping unit (SKU) storage consolidation project for a $1 billion global manufacturer, resulting in cost savings of $1.1 million, a 49% reduction in SKU storage locations, and a 20% or greater improvement in reduction of cycle count errors. He led the design and implementation of three distribution centers for an industry-leading pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization and developed a solution to increase bin locations by 80% and improve density by 45% in an existing facility.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Nichols spent five years with Knight Transportation, where he served as Vice President, 3PL Solutions. Mr. Nichols focused on leveraging industry-leading technology and implementing operational efficiencies through network optimization and strategic sourcing strategies. His additional supply chain experience includes management roles with Superior Essex, UTi Worldwide, and Penske Logistics.
Mr. Nichols earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Akron and an MBA from Walsh University. He is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
