Arshya Qureshi

Mr. Qureshi’s primary focus areas encompass capital management and strategy, project governance and monitoring, project management, capital cost estimating, project controls (including earned value management), project risk management, change management and contracts management.
With over 15 years of comprehensive project management and advisory experience, spanning across the mining and minerals, energy and infrastructure industries, Mr. Qureshi has cultivated a reputation for consistently exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional results. His international site experience spans various locations, including Canada, the U.S., Panama, Spain, Mauritania, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Russia.
Mr. Qureshi’s notable assignments include serving as project controls manager for greenfield and brownfield mine development projects, ranging from $70 million to $1 billion in capital expenditure. Moreover, he has demonstrated his capabilities as a regional capital manager for gold mining operations in Africa, responsible to plan, coordinate and control annual expenditures ranging from $200 million to $600 million. Additionally, he has provided project leadership and PMO-level services for several district energy projects within the greater Toronto area, making a meaningful contribution to decarbonization efforts in major urban centers.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Qureshi co-founded, operated and managed a thriving project management consultancy practice for over a decade. Combining his entrepreneurial spirit with technical acumen, he drives innovation and excellence in operations, project management and capital projects advisory.
Mr. Qureshi earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and management, mechanical from McMaster University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario and a certified Project Management Professional. Actively involved in professional organizations, Mr. Qureshi is a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario, Project Management Institute and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering.
