Amanda Wu
Ms. Wu specializes in finance strategy, finance transformation, and transaction advisory services. Her primary areas of focus include finance function assessment and transformation roadmaps, finance operating model optimization, shared services and outsourcing, process improvement and intelligent automation, finance technology implementation, and finance function integration and stand-up. Ms. Wu has worked with clients across telecom, technology and media, healthcare and life sciences, diversified industrials, automotive, retail and consumer products, and business services.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Wu has advised and led finance strategy and transformation programs—including assessment, design, and implementation—for public companies and private equity-backed portfolio companies. Her assessments span all aspects of the finance function, including service delivery model (shared services and outsourcing), organizational design, talent, core finance processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, FP&A, and treasury and cash management), and finance technologies. She also has extensive experience in merger integration (MI), including MI strategy, integration planning, target operating model, and carve-out, such as operating model design, transitional service agreement (TSA) negotiation, and finance function stand-up.
Ms. Wu’s notable assignments include: leading a multiyear, full-scale finance transformation program for a $1.2 billion global photography and chemical manufacturer; conducting an operating model and cost structure assessment and redesign for a $4 billion global finance technology and manufacturing company; and leading finance function assessment, process improvement and automation, carve-out support, and finance function stand-up engagements for various private equity portfolio companies.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Wu spent 12 years with FTI Consulting’s Office of the CFO practice in New York, where she most recently served as Senior Managing Director and co-led the finance transformation capability. Before that, she worked as a Senior Manager in EY’s Performance Improvement group and in Protiviti’s Internal Audit and Finance Advisory group.
Ms. Wu earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Quincy University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California (inactive).
