Alexander Schuetz

Mr. Schuetz is complementing his career across various business lines and control functions for a leading German bank with senior leadership in an innovative and successful solar financing startup. He brings industry knowledge and a proven track record in capital markets, commercial and consumer banking, risk, governance, ESG, operations and technology. He has been based in Germany, Spain, the UAE and Singapore.
Mr. Schuetz advises clients on a broad range of topics related to transformation, optimisation and growth in banking and financial services, including market entry, expansion and consolidation, set up of operational and governance structures, risk identification and mitigation, asset-liability and liquidity management, balance sheet and capital optimisation and fintech.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Schuetz spent 25 years with Deutsche Bank, where he held specialist and senior management positions across various business lines and jurisdictions, including risk management and structuring of derivatives/securitization for the treasury department in Germany and Spain; Chief Operating Officer Middle East North Africa to drive the regional greenfield expansion from the UAE; Chief Operating Officer Private and Business Clients International, responsible for running and optimizing the consumer and commercial bank across Europe (ex-Germany) as well as China, India and Vietnam; team lead within the 3-Lines of Defence project at Corporate Head Office; and Head of Incidence Management/internal investigations for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Additionally, Mr. Schuetz worked as Chief Risk Officer for bullfinch AG, a successful ESG startup based in Frankfurt/Berlin/Madrid, specializing in the capital markets financing of decentralized, self-consumption solar assets.
Mr. Schuetz earned a diploma in mathematics and computer science from the University Dortmund and has been at London Business School for Executive Education with Deutsche Bank. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
