Bernd Oehring is a Managing Director with Alvarez and Marsal. He brings deep expertise in M&A and value creation, focusing on carve-outs and post-merger integration (PMI).

With over 25 years of experience from roles in operational consulting (A&M and Oliver Wyman), private equity investing (DEDIQ), value creation management (Senacor Technologies), and investment banking (JPMorgan), Mr. Oehring has an international track record across industries and geographies, featuring a cumulated transaction volume of circa €170 billion.

Mr. Oehring specializes in carve-out and PMI conceptualization and implementation, as well as strategy, business case development, due diligence, performance improvement, value creation, and corporate finance. He advises buy- and sell-side financial sponsors and corporate clients across the full deal life cycle.

Mr. Oehring has worked with clients across a range of industries, including: aerospace and defense; asset management; automotive; aviation; banking; business services; chemicals; consumer goods; energy; healthcare and life sciences; industrial goods; industrial products; infrastructure; insurance; manufacturing; media; natural resources; oil and gas; packaging; rail manufacturing; steel; technology; telecommunications; travel, hospitality, and leisure; and utilities.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Oehring was a Partner at Oliver Wyman and co-led the firm’s Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions business in Europe. He was repeatedly named among The Consulting Report’s global “Top 25 M&A Consultants and Leaders.”

Mr. Oehring earned a master’s degree and published scientific research in business administration, reading at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, Universidad de Alcalá, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, ESADE Barcelona, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. He has previously been based in Australia, the UK, the US, Spain, France, and Brazil for work, and he has completed language training in, among others, English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
