Eric Leung
With over 20 years of experience across professional services and Big Four firms, Mr. Leung has extensive expertise managing income tax, global mobility, and cross-border tax matters across Asia–Pacific, including Hong Kong SAR, China, the Chinese mainland, Singapore, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. His areas of focus include home/host tax, tax equalization, treaty relief, audits/enquiries, cross-border social security, and retirement considerations. Mr. Leung has also been on assignment in New York, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur.
In regulated environments, Mr. Leung has led remuneration reviews and policy design aligned to Hong Kong Monetary Authority Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) CG-5, strengthening governance and audit-ready documentation for sensitive pay actions. He also advises on retention-related rewards (including equity and share-based compensation) and CRS (individuals) readiness for high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Leung spent more than 10 years with Vialto Partners (formerly PwC Global Mobility Services) in Hong Kong SAR, China, supporting large volumes of annual mobility cases for banking, insurance, and multinational clients. Earlier in his career, he held roles at EY and KPMG.
Mr. Leung earned a bachelor’s degree in economics (minor in communications) from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and member of CPA Australia, a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enrolled Agent (EA). He speaks Cantonese (native), English (fluent), and Mandarin (moderate).
