Thomas Schmidt
With more than 10 years of hands-on transformation experience, Mr. Schmidt has led large-scale transformation initiatives across multiple industries, delivering measurable and sustainable impact.
Mr. Schmidt’s experience includes conducting full-potential diagnostics and defining and implementing value creation plans, including for a building materials company. He has also worked with a leading global chemicals business to define its sustainability agenda and net-zero decarbonization road map. Further, he supported the spin-off of a renewable energy company, including establishing its Day One operating model.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Schmidt served as Managing Director and Chief Transformation Officer for a German machinery equipment manufacturer, where he led operational transformation and value creation initiatives for a private equity fund. He also spent 10 years in consulting, including with McKinsey & Company in Germany, where he led client engagements across Europe as part of the Operations and Sustainability practice.
Mr. Schmidt earned a master’s degree in international management from ESB Business School, Reutlingen University in Germany and Northeastern University in the US.
