Rohit Bhatia is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Singapore. He is focused on A&M’s pre-deal due diligence services across Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on commercial due diligence.

With over two decades of cross-functional experience, Mr. Bhatia specializes in navigating high-stakes M&A environments and providing financial sponsors with the insights they need to drive informed investment decisions. He has worked across various industries, including energy, logistics, utilities, healthcare, consumer, retail, and education.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bhatia has served as a trusted advisor to private equity firms, infrastructure funds, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices. His expertise spans the full transaction life cycle—from buy-side diligence and sell-side “equity storytelling” to complex post-deal merger integrations and carve-outs. He has advised on over 200 transactions, including more than 50 completed deals with a cumulative enterprise value exceeding $5 billion.

Mr. Bhatia has been instrumental in several of the region’s most significant transactions over the past five years. He notably worked on the largest hospital chain transactions in Indonesia and the Philippines, as well as the overall region’s most significant take-private pharmaceutical transaction.

He also advised on the largest corporate M&A deal in the Indonesian consumer sector, the sale of the largest petrol station operator in Southeast Asia, and major waste management transactions in Singapore. In the education sector, he supported transactions involving a leading private higher education operator in Singapore.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bhatia served as a Partner with Roland Berger and spent 11 years with EY-Parthenon in Singapore and Melbourne, where he was an Associate Partner.

Mr. Bhatia earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering) and an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
