Tania Henriques is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in New York. Part of the broker–dealer investigations and compliance team, she focuses on proactive compliance advisory and support for complex regulatory matters impacting financial services organizations.

With more than 15 years of financial services experience, Ms. Henriques advises organizations on compliance and regulatory investigations, including wealth management compliance, operational risk frameworks, branch and regulatory exams, policies and procedures, client complaints, retail sales practices, and remediation efforts.

Ms. Henriques has led and supported high-profile regulatory examinations with securities and prudential regulators. In addition, she has coordinated key regulatory projects, senior management reporting, and timely execution of regulatory mandates. Her notable assignments have included designing and implementing a scalable business and compliance risk assessment process at an ownership and equity management platform company, including the deployment of a new governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tool, risk categorization library, and controls inventory.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Henriques spent three years at FTI Consulting in New York, where she led independent compliance consultant engagements related to off-channel communications, sanctions and screening, and supervisory enhancements. Her work included developing and enhancing policies and procedures and conducting benchmarking analyses against regulatory expectations and industry best practices.

Before that, Ms. Henriques held multiple roles across compliance, operational risk, and regulatory examinations within the financial services sector. She notably served as Americas Compliance and Operational Risk Control Chief of Staff at a global financial services firm, managing strategic compliance priorities, policies, and day-to-day operations in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer. Her responsibilities included executing strategic initiatives, supporting decision-making, managing programs, and implementing compliance risk management frameworks, compliance program enhancements, and key procedural controls. Ms. Henriques also oversaw compliance training initiatives and policy governance to ensure enterprise-wide regulatory adherence.

Ms. Henriques earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Montclair State University.
